This at first might seem like a subject that has nothing to do with gambling but I discovered for myself that it does. I bought this game The Sims which is basically a video game where there is clear objective to win the game. What it is is a game where you create a character and that character lives a virtual life in real time. What I noticed when creating the character is that you need to give the character what they call an aspiration and you have I think three to choose from family, wealth or knowledge. The character in the game will live a fuller life if you fulfill the characters aspirations. This is where I realized that my real life character "me" was chasing the wrong aspiration by gambling. I thought that having more money would make me happier. Well when I was setting up the character I realized that my true aspiration is not wealth or reall family for that matter. It is knowledge. So even though I have little money now I am happier because I know that I can have knowledge for practically free. I would suggest this game only for the reason that obviosly as gamblers we haven't managed our lives very well and this game is kind of like a life management virtual learning tool.
