Before I had my gallbladder removed I did a lot of research and was concerned about bile dumping. I asked my surgeon if he had heard of this occuring after surgery. He said no. Sure enough, I had a endoscopy 3 months after my surgery and I have redness and inflamation in my esophagus and stomache from too much bile. I was like WTF? I went from having not enough bile to have way too much! Now I am on Protonics to control the acid reflux. My advice: Doctors are stupid! Having your gallbladder removed is NOT a cure. I have all the same symptoms as before my surgery except for the attacks that put in the emergency room. I still have to carefully watch what I eat too. Do your own research.
