Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
the choice is ours - we can either feel things and let them go OR self-indulge (a nicer word than wallow - but it means the same thing!!)
there is a story about Abe Lincoln - someone asked him if there was something he could say that would always be true, no matter what the circumstance. he replied, 'this too shall pass'. that's how the story goes anyway.
all things will pass - we can't stop life - but we sure can get 'stuck' in an emotional place ... you know .... if we let birds make nests etc.
