Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
one i just finished, not specifically about food addictions, is 'You Can Heal Your Life' it is about finding the self-love and self-acceptance to motivate you to change. it deals alot with self-talk and using affirmations to change your way of thinking. some people are open to this idea and some aren't.
Also, a great book that has helped many is Overcoming Binge Eating by Dr. Christopher Fairburn - this has helped me alot and has some great tips in it.
It has a three week plan for stopping binging or binge/purging in the back. It gives you things to work on every day. It gives you suggestions for things to do instead of binging every day. No claims to cure, but it is a great place to start.
