Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...

Does anyone know of any appetite supressants that actually work? I have taken some and don't feel any difference, just want to go right on eating. Anybody know of a supressant you can buy that really makes you not want to overeat?

Im sure there is but you know that will just leave you on the yo yo still. Might help for a couple of days but I think we eat for other reasons. I know my appetite is sooo not the problem...

My hunger is not the problem, but I think appetitie is just that desire to eat whe not hungry. And I don't just do it when I'm sad. It is mostly when bored, or even happy... what can i do?

my roommate recommends green tea and hoodia pills, she says they don't make you all jittery which is key for those of us with past amphetamine addictions. mostly i just try to distract myself when i want to eat now.

I have the same issues, I eat sometimes late at work because I am bored and then of course for comfort when I am sad as well. I have not personally found anything that has really worked, if you come across something please let me know.

I usually have a cup of tea or hot chocolate. This especially works great while I'm eating dinner, because it takes me longer to eat and sip my hot drink, then I don't take 2nds. Or even after dinner in front of the TV. If I get a craving, I tell myself I'll have a hot drink and if I'm still hungry after, then I can eat, but 99% of the time it works - it gets my mind off of food and stops my craving some SOMETHING. I feel like I'm tricking myself, but I obviously don't need more food. Hope this helps?

Drink lots of water or a diet drink and then get outside, there are some shakes like 'trim fast' and 'tony ferguson' you can have between meals too but these often need a fibre shot to go with them. I'm still working on it, the emotional/mental cycle to eat is very powerful so you need to combat this from many angles as well as these appetite suppressants

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
