Hey guys,
I'm running into a dang road block. I am on my 12th day of being completely tobacco free (Props to me..lol) after using the stuff for 8 years.
But... during my quit time, I have been really eating like a pig. And when I say pig, I mean P.I.G!!
But I want to lose weight, and have been trying to get to the gym. But I find I get really unmotivated, expecially when all I do is eat, eat eat..
What are some really delicious snacks I can eat and not gain weight, or feel bad. Something that won't fill me up either.
What are all of your mind sets that keeps you all working out and motivated?
Thanks

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
fruit, nuts, humous, yogurt, plain popcorn are my fave snacks.
To stay motivated my sister and her mate go to the same gym so that makes me go also its friendly competition!!
Do both classes and your own workout or u will quickly get bored. Good luck!!
What you problem seems to be is with replacement. I had a problem with just automatically reaching for a smoke, then being frustrated and so replaced the activity with something else. You are using food. You need to find some sort of replacement that is not going to pile on the weight. I used werther's hard candies and then changed to juice and water. You could try baby carrots or pieces of broccoli or something that's going to keep you busy.
It's a struggle that is more worth it than you can imagine. You will be freed, liberated.
Now for the exercise, well, you need to find what form is fun for you. What do you like to do? Honestly. Try it all! Sign up for all kinds of classes at a gym that spark your interest. You never know until you try something. I tried spinning a couple months ago when my trainer said to find some form or cardio.
I found that I really like it! I was doubtful at first, but gave it a decent change. I got bike shoes and a gel seat cover and spin 3 times a week.
I find the treadmill boring because walking is dull and running hurts my knees.
I like the stairmaster but my hip tires quickly.
I like the eliptical but it is also a bit boring.
That's why I like the spinning; it's fast and hard and definitely is a full body workout.
Now you need to do the same thing.
Find your own passion.
Nobdy will keep doing what they don't like, right?
I am especially graving sweets. Something I really never ate before. I have always been a salt aholic ...but things seem way to salty...but the sweet tooth...dang!
Plus I have gained around 8 pounds. YIKES !
Yesterday...I started dieting again. I am not like obese my any means..just a little pudgy.
I am only 5 feet tall...so any weight I gain .it shows.
Plus I am back on the treadmill. Can't see spending $1500 on a treadmill and letting it be a dust collector.
