Hey everyone! I am new here and I just wanted any advice from people. I currently do pilates twice a week and try to run 1-2 miles a day. I am about 5-9, 140lbs and love to exercise. These are my current fitness goals:
~Lose 5-10 pounds
~Flatter abs/stomach
~Gain muscle in my arms
I try to work out everyday, but can't seem to lose any weight, just keep my constant weight. I try to eat a lot of veggies, fruit, yogurt, and drinking as much water as I can. Am I not working out enough or do I need to focus more on my nutrition? I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to help these things. Thanks!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
1) You can't spot reduce ab fat. You can reduce overall body fat, but the last place you gained body fat will be the first off so if your ab fat has been there the longest, it will be the last to come off.
2) If you gain muscle, you will gain weight. Maybe aiming for a certain BF% would be a better goal? Some many factors contribute to weight at any given time.
Where's the protein at in your diet? You're going to have a really hard time gaining muscle with not enough protein.
Good luck!
