I posted this under my Smoking Addiction Community and decided to post under fitness goals as well....
I have to tell you all what happened ...
This morning I got up really early (4:00 am)
Hubby had to be on the road to STL by 5.
Anway...I was headed to work around 7...started backing out of the driveway and saw one of our calves was out on the highway. DANG ! I shut off the car and started toward the calf to try and get him back over the fence. He started running luckily took off toward the gravel road next to the house. I started running too...trying to get him to head for the gate...that did not work.
So I stopped ran back to the house to call my mother in law and let her know about the calf being out so I could get some help. Anyway to make a long story short...the calf got back in the fenced in area. What I was wanting to tell you all was.....I realized after I got back in the house from running a marathon ..(lol) I WAS NOT WINDED ! I COULD BREATHEEEEEEEE!!! OMG...the first time in YEARS I could run and not be out of breath!
I was so Estatic!
I am so glad I quit SMOKING!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I hear you - I quit smoking about 8 years ago and it was the best thing that I ever did. Enjoy your good health!
Congratulations to you on your 8 year quit. That is quite an accomplishment!
