I'm thinking about training for one. I started training for a long run earlier this year, but didn't finish. I lacked the motivation and I have bad knees. I think I used my knees as an excuse though. Is anyone else interested in training for this and sharing success and even non success stories??

I am training for a full marathon in May. It has been very difficult for me as I have asthma and have never been a runner in my 47 years. When I started a couple of months ago, I ran every 5 minutes for 15 seconds for a period of 2 hours. I am now up to running 1 1/2 minutes and walking 1 1/2 minutes for a period of 2 hours. I do this on Mon Wed and Fri, cross train (one hour bike ride) on Tues, Thurs, and Sunday and walk about 12 miles on Saturdays. I am doing this on my own as I can not afford a person trainer. Six more months to go! Good luck to you. Let me know how your training goes.

I am training for a half marathon in May. It will be my first one. I have MS and asthma but will do my best to finish. I am running 3 to 5 miles a day about 3 days a week and I bike 8 to 16 miles on the days in between. Getting ready to start a more set training schedule though to get ready for the race. Would love to know how you are doing and keep each other motivated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
