Hi, I'm new to this community and I have a question. Recently, my husband and I forgot to write down a rather large withdrawal made from our account and it overdrafted us. I still had 2 checks out and I just got a letter in the mail today that one of those checks was returned unpaid. This has never happened to me before so I'm scared that they are going to report this to the police and I'm going to have the police knocking on my door in a day or two to take me to jail. I don't even know how to go about fixing this. Should I call the place that the check was written to and try to talk to the manager or is that even the person I need to talk to? It was a Target store. I don't know if I need to go even higher then that. But I do want to take care of this before anything goes any farther. Please someone help me, I'm so scared.
