I am really getting an education in this stuff. Last week, a law firm/collection sent me paperwork which is forcing me into arbitration over me not being able to pay them. The name of the firm is "Mann, Bracken, LLP". They are blooksucking vultures. From what I read, the owner of this law firm sits on the board that arbitrates these cases, in particular Chase. It seems that even though they are not licensed to practice in my state they can still rubber stamp this arbitration and be awarded the monies I owe. I have 30 days to answer this notice. I saw my lawyer this week, dropped off the paperwork and took my counseling class in order to file BK. I am racing against the clock. The lawyer told me it will be gone in the bankruptcy since they are on my list. Has anyone else gone through this?
