I don't know how many times I have charged something and thought it's OK I can pay it off eventually. Or bought something because it was an emergency. But now that I am preparing for our future and trying to make big changes I can see how stupid I have been. The money I have wasted just to "have it now, and pay later" is sickening! Here is an example from just one of our credit cards.... Our total balance owed is $2068 at 21.74 interest. Our current minimum is $60 and we can't currently afford to pay more. If I pay the same $60 until this is paid in full I will have paid a total of $3300. So $1232 is all interest payments!! $1232 for nothing but the privilage of putting it on credit. Believe me there was nothing charged on that card that I couldn't have lived without, and certainly nothing that I would have paid an extra $1232 to own right now. Now If any of you are like me you can add a few more credit cards to the list and see just how much money a year is wasted! It truely is not worth it to use credit ever. It is going to be SO worth it to stick to cash only and pay off these life sucking debts! Good Luck to everyone and happy new year!
