Or wild dogs. Whatever you prefer.
Opinions vary. What IS the most dangerous animal? (Man?)
Some say lions and hippos and bears, oh my!
Other say a Cape buffalo, a poison dart frog and a cone snail. (The last is a venomous sea snail. Stings like a bi*ch.)
Maybe it is hippos, which outdo sharks by a country mile. Sharks average 30 human deaths a year; hippos make it to around 500 sometimes.
Crocodiles, of course, get up to 1,000 humans a year.
But the leaders of the pack, no puns, include dogs (about 98% of global deaths due to rabies, which can kill up to 30,000 people a year, come from bites from unvaccinated dogs who have, obvs, gotten rabies)... and freshwater snails. You can eat 'em, but they contain itty bitty parasitic worms that may kill up to 200,000 a year. Or only 20,000. It's not something they really look for on autopsy ("DId he eat a raw snail?")
But by far the number one animal killer? (Even surpassing man, minus warfare.).... Mosquitoes. B/c theyc arry malaria, Zika, West Nile, and dengue, and probably more. Up to 750,000 deaths a year due to ... mosquitoes. Suddenly, I'm lesss worried about what's in "OFF!" than I used to be.
And on that note, I'm off to deal with the dangerous Dahlia Diva Cat, a semi-domesticated creature that is currently gnawing my big toe....
Hey, all, we're all about done, right?Me, too. I'm calling it. Towel thrown in.Hubby's uber-mega-magic fridge hums at a frequency he can't stand. So he's spending hundreds on soundproofing rather than ---- radical thought ---- just getting on with it. The fridge is level. The doors are level. Please don't teach me to "suck eggs" as the old phrase went. I did all that needs doing, and it's not...
