Here is a recent post, and just the last time I saw my doctor he had me double my Vit D for better calcium absorbtion. BECAUSE OF MY OSTEOPOROSIS AND NOW SAME ADVICE IS ON A FIBRO SITE!!!
It looks here as tho they are each somewhat disfunctional alone!

Did you know that pain, muscle weakness, concentration difficulties, and depressed mood are all symptoms made worse by vitamin D deficiency? This misunderstood vitamin is becoming recognized for the many important roles it plays in the body:
maintains strong healthy bones improves muscle strength and balance prevents painful bone diseases enhances reaction time and other cognitive processes aids immune system function, potentially preventing autoimmune diseases and cancers improves mood
Based on the above roles, is it any surprise that researchers believe low levels of vitamin D can aggravate the already difficult-to-handle symptoms of fibromyalgia? Join Fibromyalgia Network to learn more!
Studies described in the July 2007 issue of the Fibromyalgia Network Journal show that more than 50% of fibromyalgia patients are deficient in this essential vitamin. This four-page feature article includes possible causes, common risk factors, and three methods used to treat (or avoid) vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D requires calcium to perform many of its important functions in the body. If you join before October 16, 2007, you will also receive our free guidelines on How to Meet Your Bodys Calcium Needs.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Of course they'll want you to believe that their way is the ONLY way to cure your FM. I'm sick to death of these types of places trying to scam me out of my money.
I have osteopenia and take calcium supplements along with actonel. (My dad had severe osteoporosis so I am doing whatever it takes to prevent that.) And those numbers are almost back to normal.
I was on anti-d's for 7 years to help w/my sleep & decrease pain. Did more damage than helped. At the same time I was on lipitor for cholesterol. I believe both contributed to depleting my already low energy levels down to nothing.
I've been off both for a year and am beginning to believe the damage is permanent.
Gentle Hugs to ALL!
