Recently I have been having pain in my upper back on both sides as if I had lifted something heavy ahd strained the muscles between my ribs. Has anyone had this and is is related to my Fibro?? It is very uncomfortable, just to add to everything else that is hurting but this now hurts when I take a deep breath and of course it is a holiday weekend so I have to wait all weekend to call my Dr. I just wondered if anyone else has this problem.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

And, it's not unheard of for gall bladders to refer pain there too.
If it is not fibro related, check your pulse and blood pressure if you can. If your pulse rate is very high (110+) and bp low, call your doctor and tell them that. If you have any problems breathing or shortness of breath, go to the emergency room immediately.
Try the resting method, it really does help. Also kids like to crawl over adults so you can relax and let the young un play next to or on you.
I usually take one of my painkillers when it happens and that takes it away. Rest and warmth can work wonders too. I remember spending a whole Christmas holiday carrying around a heating pad everywhere I went and sitting with it on "high".
People thought I was a nut, but I couldn't have survived without it. I try not to take the pills, but sometimes, I NEED relief....you know how that goes.
Hope this helped...or at least these responses make you feel that you are certainly NOT alone....
Love and warm hugs!
