All went well. He said it looks like it may be healing good. He gave me some syregeons (sp) to put the mouth rinse in my open pockets. He told me to finish all my antibotics. 3 pills 4 times a day.
He said he wanted to see me 10 days after Christmas and it I have any swelling to call him ASAP. He also said I don't care if it is Christmas..call me.
Oh and get this girls..he told me I was too pretty to have a facial disfuntion. Yeah right! Pretty my butt!
But all went well for now. Oh and he also said if it doesn't clear up, then that part of the bone must be removed. But I'm okay with that..look like an alien away so what differance would it make? Nice DR. though.
Hugs Everyone,
Cinda

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I've looked like an alien my whole life. It's not great, but I'm doing OK. I swear, it makes people want to tell me all the freaking crap in their lives. Sounds like this is a good doc, though. There's a lot of reconstructive stuff that can be done today in case you do need it. Good luck and keep syringing.
Hugs
My toes are the same and my back, neck, shoulder..etc. Hurt like you know what.

When I was a practicing Massage Therapist I worked on people with arthritis with hands and feet like you describe. Applying heat, then gentle massage, improving the circulation, allowed some added flexibility. I know that expensive massage is not an option for you, or myself, for that matter, but if you could wrap your hands and feet with warmed towels, bed buddies (socks filled with rice, heated). Then maybe your hubby could gently massage your hands one night, and maybe your feet the next.
I don't know if your hubby would be willing, mine unfortunately is not, but massage would help.
I'm glad he will be available if you need him, and pleased that you're improving.
Did you read my doctor's blog article on Ankylosing Spondylitis? I am getting my doctor to check me for this. On the diagram, it shows most of the same spots as fibro, only added all down the spine.
i also think that drs in the 'competent and trustworthy' category would all be happy to take a call on Christmas day (in surgical/specialist acute situations, i'm not talking about PCPs or where they have arranged adequate cover). a couple of people here have MDs in their family and they will probably agree. i have a couple of MD friends and i have seen them leave the room to take a call about a patient in hospital.
sorry about your fall - it really knocks you around doesn't.
