Tinnitus

Do any of you out there get tinnitus with your Fibro at all? Before i got any of these symptoms my tinnitus was just about manageable. But now since i have my Thyroid went under last Feb things have just gone worst for me ever since.
It be intereting to know who out there has Tinnitus(Ringing in the ears or head)

I have had ringing in my ears since I was 19. I have lost 99% of my hearing in my left ear and was diagnosed as having Meneires Disease. I get really bad ringing in the winter but it clears up some in the summer. I used to get really bad vertigo from it but haven't had that in a long time. Cathy

Oh yes, tinnitus is one of my symptoms. I was formally dxd with CFS and I find that the intensity of the ringing follows my relapses of that more that the FM. But they are so closely linked, who knows.

It was really horrid when I was first diagnosed in '94, but either I am used to it or it has calmed some. I only notice it know when I am crashed.

I have tinnitis constantly.At times it will change pitch but it never goes away.

Only seem to notice mine now when it is quiet or when I lay down at night. Used to be bad marilyn

OMG!!!!! Mine is a swooshing!!Of course all my specialists say it's due to one of my other health problems,but I dunno,strange how there are other people on here with it that don't have my other diseases but we have FM in common.I never thought 2 put it on here since my docs said it was due to the other,not FM!!!Lots of Love,Leslie

Thank you so much for your advice and letting me know how this effects us.
I am going to keep fighting to get diagnosed so i be able to try and help myself learn from FMS.
We need more people to reply so i can show this to my parents and see what they think whether it is anything to do with FMS or not??

So tinnitus is a symptom of FMS or could it be a number of other things. I need to know if it's my new hearing aids that is making me ear like this the Fibro?

I get ringing in the ears, much worse as I have got older, been told its a direct result from fibro

Right i thought it might have been, I am going to the doctors to try and get me refarred to this doctor in London as he has a clinic that diagnose and treats FMS.

Yes it is a common symptom in people with fibro. Mine started to ring right when the full blown fibro came on. It only changes in intensity. When it is loud I nearly go crazy. Hate it. In fact, when i went to rheumy it is on his check sheet (questionaire for fibro). Good luck, Sporty. sue

I would go to a chiropractor that specializes in Fibro. They can do wonders for things like this as well as for all other problems that Fibro brings on. I love my chiropractor. She is gentle and works on the areas that are really bad but with instruments and not so much pushing and cracking.

Thanks, Mine is pretty loud alot of the time and everything i seem to eat or drink or if something happens to me? It just drive me crazy.
I try and stay postive about this whole thing but deep inside me i am crying for help???

I have ringing in my ears as well, along with popping...it happens with certain tones and pitches. It started sometime in my early 20's. Virtigo is another issue.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
