Now... let yourself feel it. Start at your feet. Tired feet? Yes/no? Yeah, probably. OK. Let them be tired. Let them flop out and about. Ankles? Tired? Eh. Let them be tired. Stop making them work. Work your way up. Calves. Knees. Thighs. Hips/pelvis. Abdomen. Lower back. Mid back. Rib cage in general. Now your shoulders. Upper arms. Elbows. Forearms. Wrists. hands...
Neck. Let it be tired. let it rest.
Let it be tired. Let it rest. If thoughts come, they can come, just don't hang on. THey're not invited right now. They can leave like bugs doing a fly-by. Bzzzt....
Be tired.... Let yourself be tired... Tears seeping out? OK. Snoring? Even better. Did you fart? Hey, it happens. (No joke, someone in pain management group therapy let one rip during this exercise...)
Think of how puppie s and kittens are. They get tired, they stop. They become fluid and flat.
Be fluid. Be flat. Be... tired. Be *resting* now. Everything resting. Toes, teeth, hair, resting.
Don't mess about with breathing techniques unless you want to. Just... take ten minutes to admit and allow the tiredness.
Then drink some water, nibble something healthy (I like celery) and take in a huge breath... and let it out slowly. OK. Now, you're stilltired, but you're not fighting it and making yourself *more* tired. And, 9if you can, nap a bit. Just 30-45 minutes maybe. Or stare at the wall and zone out. Whatever. Be tired, let out the "tired air" in your lungs, and ...
Gently "wake up" your body parts by imagining from toes to fingertips that each part is getting a little warm stretch from the inside out. IMagine your innermost YOU stretching out your body from inside. Believ eit or not, you micro-stretch when you do that.
And now we all have to get back to our days and nights and lives and chores and jobs. Alas.
So do this at bedtime, possibly...

Another Ibs flare - can’t wear my Torrid leggings today - they are just a bit too snug for comfort when I am bloating. Had a light supper but then succumbed to some chips on the evening!! That does not help...I considered trying a dicyclomine tablet last night but did not. I am curious on the effects. Today I might take some gas x midday to relieve symptoms. (If they persist).
