I was just thinking about my grandpa & how much I miss him. I realized that he taught me alot of things.
He taught me that grown up's can still have fun. He used to chase me & my cousin's around pretending to be the incredible hulk.
Old jokes are still funny. I listened to many of his riddles several times. I laughed each time.
Nature is a beautiful thing. He & grandma lived out in the country. We used to sit on the porch & watch the hummingbirds & other wild life. He also taught me the bob white bird whistle & how to fish & enjoy the quiet.
He taught me how to love unconditionally. No matter how grandma yelled at him, he always said, "Yes dear" & he took care of her until the day she died.
He brought music into my life. I can barely remember a time that there wasn't music in his house. He loved to play the guitar & harmonica & he sang so beautifully.
I definitely learned alot from him. More than what I've mentioned here. What have you learned from those special people in your lives?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
What an impact these early years have.
You hit a wonderful note in me with this post.
Because of those early walks in the woods, it's still my favorite thing to do.

Which, by the way, I've been having a ball today shopping at thift shops to find childrens jackets for 3 special little people in my life who had none. It was my pleasure and a challenge too, to find the right sizes, styles for their special little personalities and of course, the price that I could afford.
What a blessing these children make in my life and I am indeed lucky to have such special little friends.
Then, another friend came by with "extra" cans of juice as she knows how much we love juice around here, but $$ are a little tight, so, juice has been scarce and here comes a little angel toting a bagful of juice.
Now, isn't that just something?
He works in mysterious ways.
Good day, my friends and thank you for the opportunity to talk about what is important to me.

She also taught me that hatred is a waisted emotion.
Think about it....
If you hate someone they dont care.. but it will eat you up on the inside ...
I myself cant sleep with Hate in my heart..
much love guys!
When he married my grandmother after High school they had 6 kids. Papa Charlie as we called him, worked 3 jobs to support his family and because he never had anything as a kid made sure his kids and grandkids had wonderful Christmas's. He did everything for us kids and played Santa and decorated the whole house. He cooked and baked and had every kind of treat out. He was having his second childhood with us I always felt. He was a wonderful man, father and Grandfather. I know he is in heaven because was one of the most unselfish men I ever knew.
