I just can't stand my mattress any more. It was a good one, but is a "firm". I got a thick memory foam pad a couple of months ago and it helped at first, but it is hurting again. Just too hard. Any suggestions? I was thinking of investing in the ....oh sh--. I'm just coming out of a flare and major brain fog and can't think of the name of the mattress. It is the memory foam one. I hear they are very expensive. But me and the pooch are tired of taking to the nice soft leather couch. Not enuf room! U would appreciate your input. thanks, sue

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
That will be the next one I buy, for sure. I slept on one in a hotel a couple of years ago and it was like sleeping on a cloud.
Now our mall has a select comfort store, so maybe u can see if there is one near u, u can go in and try them out. We have a lifetime warrenty on our select comfort mattress, that came with it, we didnt pay extra for that warrenty.
When I was at that hotel, it was one of Marriot's Laura Ashley rooms with the upper-scale bedding, pillows, decor, etc.
Man, that was so super comfy, I didn't want to get out of bed. I pushed it all the way until check-out time.
Kabelle, I"m with you. I have learned to get the softest sheets and everything must me cushy and soft, even my clothes. I had to laugh about you not wanting to leave the luxurious hotel room. I would milk it too! sue
In the mornings my dad steps ALL OVER it to get back and fourth to his computer and at this point by morning it turns into either a pancake or a water bed feeling! The floor is a slab of concrete with what appears to be a child's daycare style flat flat carpet on it in an older 60's style home! So I am ALWAYS waking up either to pump it up sooooo hard as to not get the flat pancake or waterbed feeling in the morning OR waking up every time I'm bounced off the bed by someone walking over it back and fourth at 6am! Serious!
You think my back was shot before this? Plus I have insomnia because of this symptom riddled disease and others on top of it, so by 6am when my dad starts trampling over my mattress, well, I barely got any sleep up until then or slept on and off through the night! UGGH!
I'm not trying to say poor me in the least! Just wanted you to see that maybe you can count your blessings you have it better than some!
And even still...so you can see that I REALLY understand having a crappy crappy mattress and how bad it makes you feel when you feel really bad to start with with a disease you never asked for to begin with!
OK! Maybe I added a little venting for good measure! Hehe! Pains just been REALLY REALLY bad lately!

You might put out some big bucks in the short run, but if you get 15-20 years out of a good quality mattress AND you get that many years of good quality sleep, it might be worth it to spend as much as you can possibly afford on your mattress.
Good quality sleep has been proven to help with FM symptoms and that's what we are all striving for anyway.
Okay, I don't own stock in the mattress companies and this isn't my own "but wait there's more" commercial for them. If I was in the market for a new mattress anyway, I would definitiely look at the one's discussed here. It's not something you'll be tossing out in the next few years -- it will be with you for at least a decade or more. You also spend 6-8 hours of your day (or more) on your mattress, so you look at it as an investment.
Okay, I'm done with the infomercial.
The fact my pain level is REALLY bad ONLY shows that my pain level is REALLY bad! The popped bed is the straw that is only adding to breaking this camels back!
I just wanted to share that because I forgot to mention that the pancake and water bed feeling was because the walking on the mattress has popped it basically!
