Soooo... Good morning from my junky ipad, since my laptop is trapped in Windows Update for.... yeah, till Sunday? Ugh. nyway, minor annoyance, but is it me, or do they all happen the day you have early appointments?
I am trying to hold my ground about keeping a hair appointment in a couple weeks, even though it interferes with taking mom to her doc for her checkup, at her halfway through radiation point. Just saying no! because I need that pampering.... and my next available would be october.
And today I finally woman up and call PT to set appts. PTSD is red hot. Ugh. The way oldies will recall back in 2011 that a PT person damaged my i jured soine and hip, worsening things, based on His Idea of what my body should do.... Oh boy.
Today is F day.
F is for... family friends food fur ferns fun
flatulence (Hubbys contribution, thanks, dear)
F is also for.... frustration, fear, fighting, flames, fire, force...
And, naturally, FRIDAY!
Odd random bits of trivia..
The human body can experience hypothermia in water that is 70 F, but often not till 55 F if dry and on land. Why? Water sucks up heat. And does not willing cool off. Also, evaporarion chills us, so if you are soaking wet and on land, you are at risk for hypothermia when it is 60F. This, btw, puts a whole new apin on the old psychiatric tratment of immersion, wherein a patient would be stuck in a tub of room temp or colder water, and resttrained into the tub for up to three hours. The geniusues of the early 20th century said water calmed the mind. In fact, the patients calmed due to induced hypothermia. Niiiiiice.
The root word for flute, btw, is the same as that for flatulence. Never tell someone this before band practice.
We are all told of our fight or flight instinct, but we have two others... Freeze and Fawn. The former, of course, is why a deer stops in your headlights. The latter is why a seemingly upset animal will expose its tummy to you, but do not touch the tummy other than a single finger tap, as more can inspire Fight reflexes.
And this is so timy on my ipad, and it wil not let me expand, so I am going to get ready to see a lawyer (will) and call it a day. Laptop Windows stiiiiiiilllllllllll updating....
Fun Friday to alll!!!
I thought having family living with me would make things easier. Instead things are more difficult because I have to clean up after other people. So instead of just cleaning up after myself when I'm done, I have to clean up after someone else first. For example, sometimes I have to clean out the tub before I get in it, and because of that I have to sit a while before I can physically handle...
When the quarantine started there was mass hoarding of toilet paper and paper towels. In my area there is still very little. Not even our Costco has been successful in getting a stock. How are the stores in your area. Have they been able to resupply paper and consumables? Has it impacted you?
