To all who know and love Laurie I have a very sad update on her and her family.
Laurie's father was told last Friday that he had lung cancer along with all his heart problems. They did a cat scan and found that the cancer has traveled to his brain and mostly likely through out his entire body. At first the Doc's gave him about 3 months to live. Then 2 days ago they said 3-5 weeks at most. Then last night they came in and told Laurie's sister 1 week.
The family is in shock but Lauire is holding it together for now. She is the strong one of the family at this point but we never know what life will bring. All the Grand kids are flying in today to say their good byes to their Grandfather but all with sorrowful hearts. They are all in tremendous pain as thing progess.
At this point the family wants him moved home for his finally days so by tonight that should be taken care off. If you all could give her pray and hugs I know she will appreicate it from the bottom of her heart. Even if you don't know her please send her a hug for support.
I will keep you all updated on her and her family but if she happens to pop in to your mind please send her a prayer or hug.
Thank you for everyone's support while she is going through this. I met Laurie through a FM site and her and I have become very close. I consider her one of my best frinds and would do anything for her. I know a lot of you have freinds you hold close to your heart and would do the same. So please just take a moment to give a hug....V

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
That awful C word again.....
have seen what it does...I HATE CANCER ~!!!~
Sometimes we all need some help from our friends and you all are the best friends a gal could have...thank you

I hope she can come to peace with this and enjoy the days weeks or maybe and hopefully even months she has left with her Dad. I know I would love just one more day with my Dad.
I will be thinking of her.
If you talk to her can u remind her gently to take care of herself or she will end up in a huge huge flare. She so doesnt need that now. I am so glad she has u, she is going to need all the support she can get, even if it is her DS online friends.
*hugs* 2 u Laurie
