January 8, 2010 Good Morning
***GINgerly stepping up to podium, picking up megaphone, which is attached to loud speaker system, D begins to scream)
I will just sum my whole experience up with a few words.....OH HELL, SHOOT ME NOW PLEASE!!!!!
***ears pop from the volume of the scream
I feel better now
Yesterday was a productive day for me, in the domestic goddess venue (much nicer than saying I got a lot of housework done)
I slept like a baby, suffering from Colic and teething and the flu. (Isn't that a much more graphic, yet somehow the words sound so much better than I could not sleep and cried in pain and frustration, oh shoot me now please)
But I must push on. TODAY IS WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING DAY.....I am excited inside of this walking-dead exterior you see before you.
I hope you find 100 reasons to smile today

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
D, sorry your hurting but I love the way you describe it LOL.

The only marine creature I can think of is the otter and I'm not sure if they are marine creature I can just picture them floating around on their backs munching on fish. LOL Now that's the life although I prefer steak and junk food.
Oh by the way my mind seems to me missing so if any one sees it please send it home. Thank You.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. It just started to snow here got to go put the beans on. making my favorites pinto beans and corn bread luckily we have a wood stove in case the electric goes out also have an old campers stove.

Ah, D....so sorry you are hurting this morning, and had a rough night....not good. And another busy day....please try to rest as soon as you can. OK, I know, I'm preaching to the choir, right? LOL
Dress shopping was soooo much fun! I cried every time both my girls tried on a new dress.....thankfully, they both only tried on five or six before deciding....L actually chose the second one she tried on, and R chose the first! Take a snack with you, some water, and grab a chair when you get there....it takes awhile LOL
Hmmmm....I'm with Maryca in guessing the otter....they are the cutest little things!
Hoping to make more serious progress in my office today....wish me luck!

OH, D, I'm soo sorry you're hurting and I really wish I could take it away. Instead ... I'll pray. Praying that the emotional joy you have seeing your baby girl in those dresses surpasses all the pain. Praying for a good exhaustion by the end of the day .... the kind that actually allows you to rest well tonight.

I'm really hurting today, too. My muscles are just screaming! I wonder if it has anything to do with the snow we're getting right now.
Have loads of fun shopping for the wedding dress! It makes it all seem so real when you see your daughter (or d-i-l, in my case) standing there in front of the mirrors, modeling her dress. Happy times!
BTW, I think you deserve a staycation next week to give your body time for R&R recovery!
I was hoping to make some Christmas returns today, but will have to see if I'm up to it later. There's always tomorrow, right! :)

D - how fun to look at wedding dresses! I didn't have a wedding and I think that's the part that I miss the most. I can't wait to do that with my daughter! Have fun - and I agree, bring tissue, get comfy!
