I know I haven't been officially diagnosed (I have a new rheumy appt in December) but I've been having a rough time of it in the last few days. The pain has just been alot more noticable and sharp. I'm getting worried about how bad this might get....because I have no choice but to work, ride the bus, walk around etc. I don't have anyone to help me or money I can rely on. Plus, this is the beginning of the busy time at work, I'm only going to be working more and more.
I guess I just needed to vent. Now I'm going to try and lay down and just not move and trick my body hopefully so I can get some sleep.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
When you see the rhuemy it might help to bring a pain jouranl with you. Keep track of the worst pains and when you feel the most tired. He will be able to see the pattern and hopefully give you some meds to help ease your pain and fatugue.

I take Vitamin D, B6, B12, Omega 3-6-9, Calcium/Magnesium, iron, a multi-vitamin and melatonin for sleep.
The difference is very noticeable.
Something to remember is that you need to get good sleep in order to deal with this monster we have. Without sleep, I notice that my pain is much worse.
I've learned alot from being on here.
Take care.
I hope your rhuematologist gives you a diagnosis. It will give you some leverage at work. It won't matter what your boss "thinks" then she will HAVE to make concessions for your disability.
I agree with the hot shower/bath idea. I've also heard of heated "pads" that can be purchased and will stick to parts of your body for help during the work day. I've also had good luck with BioFreeze, it's kind of like, oh, shit, can't remember what it's called! Somebody, tell her what I'm talking about! Thanks!

An update....I do feel a little better,or I've gotten used to the pain or something....but I managed to clean out the fridge and "pantry" (closet where I keep food)...cleaned out the cat box and the area around my kitchen table and took a shower. Pretty good I guess. Now I'm gonna try and do some schoolwork and it'll be a productive day despite pain.
Thanks for the support everyone.
