I saw my new Rheumy today and she recommended (after I get the clearance from my Orthopedic Surgeon and that I have waited for my left shoulder to heal)that I have pool therapy, and also gave me a prescription for an anti-imflammatory medication called Mobic and a muscle relaxer since my neck, back muscles are so tense.
I am wondering if anyone has had these things that she recommended I have? Also, she ordered X-rays and blood tests and I get the results from those on the 2nd of Jan., 2008.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
sometimes I wish that they could live in my body for one day and then tell me to work out.
good luck with the program and surgery Caroline1
Ouch
the only draw back is the cold water when you have FM. but I was able to take it at my own pace and sit out when I was to fitigued.
I whis I had a personal heated small pool of my own.
the 28 mile drive is also taxing on bad days
However, since we have gotten an opportunity for a $150 reimbursement from our health provider, if we just pay for 4 consecutive months of health club, etc., I may try it for the cost of gas and wear on my body. I have tried it in a regular pool before, but it was too cold. The one across town is warm and inside - even in FL, lol.
Hey, I've even seen it rain here a couple of times this year. Worst drought in 50 years or so.
