Hi all. Hey, I've been taking Lyrica for a few weeks now, and the dr. had me on 50 mg 3 times a day. It did nothing at that dose, and so far from what I have read, it's not even close to even a "therapeutic dose". Keep in mind, I was probably one of the first people my dr. prescribed it to who has Fibro. I tried taking 100 mg, and that did the job. I left a message before I took a grueling trip (the travel was the grueling part), and never heard back. I never called either. I just would take the 100 mg. I called today to see if she would write the prescription that way and also to see if it was okay that I was using 100 mg. Of course, I got scolded by the nurse, and she told me she would ask the dr. but didn't promise anything. Okay, so I know it's a no no to be dosing myself, but it's not like a narcotic, and I've read a lot about it, and 50 mg. doesn't do it for most people. I'm wondering what dose you guys started on, and what dose you ended up at? I told the nurse that I have an appt. at a pain clinic but not until December, and just wanted some relief until then. I figured the dr. that I will see at the pain clinic will know much more about Lyrica. I really don't like the way people are treated by the nurses at the drs office, and even from the dr's themselves. It's dehumanizing, and kind of a parent child relationship, and it shouldn't be!! It should be like every other service for sale in terms of customer service, but the way our current health care is, it's not because there is no incentive. These dr's and clinics know that they have plenty of business, and don't care whether or not you see them or someone else. Sorry about that little tangent. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
