Only my FMily would understand and feel sorry for my dear old dog JC. For the last few months I haven't been taken him out as much because I was in a terrible flare but my faithful dog stayed by my sided every step ( sleep is more like it) of the way lol. At the same time our money problems came to a head and we really had to cut down so the dogs did as well. That meant no canned food for them in the last month.
In the last few days I have noticed JC walking around out back with his butt down trying to go but nothing is coming out. Today he finally walked up to me and nuzzled my hand, walk out to the yard looking at me the whole time, bent over and looking at me said I need help please!!!! I swear I could hear that dog speaking to me and I am feeling a lot better lol.
So because money is so tight right now I was hoping that the people that suffer the most with this and understand it so well would have some kind of idea to help my poor dog out. He needs his FMily and knoes your dogs would want you to help him....any ideas???
Thank,

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Kisses for your poor baby,

The pumpkin is a rich in fiber. The water, of course, provides moisture. I guess if the dog turns his nose up at the food mixed with water, or if you need an easy way to encourage fluids, you could use chicken of r beef bouillion (either cubes or granules)
BTW, it could still take a couple of days to work. I've used the pumpkin, water and a little yogurt before. It worked well, it just took time.
I've read about giving a small amount of mineral oil. I think I'd be more inclined to give olive oil, if I had some in the cupboard.
But I did read where it is safe to give them a childes fleet enema. Kind of messy though and your dog might not much appreciate it at first :)
I have 4 dogs and can't stand the thought of them in pain or uncomfortable.
Please keep us informed.

I've been worried about vet bills and what would happen to our fur babies if something serious happened, and I've decided to get health insurance for my dogs. It's about $20 a month but I'd never get over it if something happened to one of my babies and I couldn't treat it because I couldn't afford it.
But...I would sell my home for this dog without even thinking twice and that's no bull..I love this dog more than anyone besides my child and husband period. We are so close and have been through so much I can't even begin to tell you but he is my soulmate as far as animals are concerned.
I am going to give him a little bit of ice cream with some mineral oil or olive oil in it. Is 1 tablespoon enough?
Thanks again and thanks for watching out for my Majestic Man...Jc
You are all so awesome...Thanks,
V
I sympathize with you. I have been reading your posts and I know you have had so many extra expenses. When it rains, it pours. Hope and pray this will be an easy fix and no more rain for you! Hugs, Sue
