I know you all arent doctors so I am asking this in a way as what would you do if it was your foot. Or maybe hoping one of you could do better research then I have been able to do....
As some of you know, I broke my foot on tuesday. Well they called it a jones fractue. Thing is I did some research and I cant find the answer I need. The hospital has a bad rep when it comes to the bigger things.. ie bigger than a rash/cold/flu/migraine. I normally treat the hospital here in my town as an urgent care. They have misdiagnosed broken bones many times.
I have done everything they said I should do. I have been in bedd 90% of my time with my foot up and taking my anti-imflamatory meds and using ice round the clock in intervals. they said the swelling would be down with in about 3 days. Well the sweeling seems worse then it was when I initially fractured it (well worse then the first day anyways.
I have bruising all the way up the outside of my left foot and across all my toes. my entire foot is swollen and there is now a hard lump where the fracture is.
Im worried either they misdiagnosed it or I hurt it further some how. I cant find info on the process the fracture goes through as far as swelling and stuff. I did read where it can be diffulcult to heal and could end in a screw being placed in the foot.
I dont have health insurance and I dont know how I am gonna pay to go see a bone doctor (what ever they call them) much less anything else. I did put in an application for health insurance for me and my family with the state now that Im not working I may qualify. but in the mean time I need to decide what to do.
The only thing I can think of is yet anoughter hospital visit to a different hospital. But at the same time I am worried I am being to much of a worry wart, I tend to over worry about stuff like this... I so dont know what to do....
Ideas anyone?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm not saying this is what is wrong with your foot, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Trust me!!!!
Love and hugs. Kathy
