I am a 47 year old mother of two, happily married and happy with every aspect of my life, with the exception of pain. Ihave suffered from pain for the past 10 years. For most of that time I was either pregnant or nursing, so meds were out of the question. Two years ago I decided to look for help and my Dr. sent me for an MRI, which showed a herniated disk at C7. A pain mgmt Dr. started me on hydorcodone, then after 7 months put me on Kadian (morphine). I hated the morphine and he refused to prescribe anything else, so I found a new Dr. The new Dr. took my family history, my history and pronounced I have Fibro. I also have a brother with Fibro. I never thought that was what I had. My symptoms are extreme pain in my neck and shoulders, knots in my upper back mmuscles, pain in my hips and buttocks sometimes into my thighs. I sleep well, eat well and do not have depression. Is this Fibro? He started me on Lyrica, which helps a little, but now I have jaw pain as well. Could this be from the Lyrica? Looking for help from someone with experience with Fibro and Lyrica. Thanks!

Good morning! The last downpours woke us at 2 AM and kept roaring till.. Well, I'm not really awake or coherent, let's leave it at that. But we have blue skies! First time in 2 weeks. Ai-yi-i, good morning from the low-pressure-won't-budge zone. Oooh, that's heck on the fibro! I sleep whenever I can the last few days, today as well, I suspect. I[m blessed to have not been hit by Florence directly (prayers for the Carolinas, and Bear, when you can shout out, please do, or someone let us know our Carolina-based fibro pals are okay if you have offline contact?)... Just a lot...
