Hi everyone I have been surfing this site for a while now, thinking that I might have fibro. This will be a long post I apologize for that. Monday I went to my dr for my regular diabetic check up and told him I was experiencing pain all over and having trouble sleeping due to the pain, tired all the time. He then examined me and asked me if I had ever heard of fibromyalgia. I told him that yes I had done some research on it. He then told me that I had the trigger points condusive with fibro and if I had done research I would know he couldn't give me a pill to make it all better. We then talked about disability and he said to get the paperwork started and send it to him to fill out. I am sorry to hear how some of my other fibro sufferers have been treated. My dr is wonderful, he then prescribed an anti-depressant for me to help block the pain and something to help me sleep. Also before I left he asked if he could pray for me. Awesome I thank God that I have a doc that truly cares for me and is informed and not judgemental. Now that I know I have it I decided to join the community and not just be a spectator anymore. I look forward to being supported and to support others as we learn to live with this illness.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
