I just spent ten days in the hospital. They took every test imaginable and came up with a fibromyalgia diagnosis. This ALL happened to me like this... I had an allergic throat condition, went to a quack dr that prescribed me 60 mg prednisone for two full months. well, after three weeks, my knees were so crippled i couldnt walk, went to emerg room and they found a pulmonary embolism. Four months later, still can't walk, and they kept telling me it was "steroid myopathy".. well, now they say oh no it is not due to the steroids, it is fibro. I have so much pain in my legs and cannot walk. My question is, will I improve and be my old self again? i was in the gym for three hours at a wack before this and had no aches at all. I have heard trauma can bring this on? i take neurontin three times a day and pain pills. ALL advice appreciated. I cry all the time, had to move in with my parents (at age 43) and just cannot function without help... it is my lowest point of my life... will it get better? can i get everything back? thanks, alexandra

And, down here, rarely cold enough to use the back porch for a fridge. Hello? *sigh* 20 years down...
