I am about 70lbs over weight... in my book but by the BOOKs am even a bit more... I have insurance that would probably pay for me to have the lap band done. It seems virtually impossible to loose weight when you dont have the physical ability to excercise enough, and you should be loosing weight because between the pain and meds you dont have much of an appetite anywho. I really dont eat much, and even when I was walking a great deal only lost about 6lbs over 6 weeks I am thinking, which as soon as I stopped walking I gained it back. I am at a stand still but it is too much weight. I feel like if I dropped that 50-70lbs I would have to feel some better, but how is the fibro body going to respond to an envasion ?? I am worried the minor surgery itself will cause a huge flare....???? What are your thoughts. The lapband is not the biggy for those that dont know. I have learned they can leave it on for up to 5 years and adjust it as needed. Just a tool to get this weight off even slowly if I choose and then help me keep it off hopfullly until I could establish a routine that would work without it to maintain a lower weight....

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
