theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
I would of thought it should be either a rheumy or a neuro doc. Although your family doc should be able to do all that. Hopefully the others will be able to advise more. Hugs Owlxxx
I never new u could see an internal medicine doc until recently, i am checking to see if we have one on our plan.
some neuro's wont treat fibro, some will, some rheumo's are really good, some dont treat fibro, pain docs are different depending on what they do.
Several people have suggested Pain docs, Neuro's, Rheumys, and GP's. Excellent choices. I will add one more to the list but I don't know if you will find it in your area. I am currently going to The Fibromyalgia Treatment Center of America in Chicago. The head of the clinic is a Family Practice doc who became intrigued with fibro and educated himself on just about everything there is to know about it. Included on his staff are an Osteopath, Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologist and a Nurse Practitioner. They use a whole body approach and encourage alternative therapies outside of their office. If you google Fibromyalgia Treatment, I think you will find some info on other clinics run by different people around the country.
Learn all you can, advocate for yourself, vent here, and take care.
