Has this happened to anyone else? We just moved into a brand new neighborhood and we still have houses being built. Tuesday night, my hubby seen someone breaking in the house across from us. Nobody lives there. I called the police because I don't want people like that in the neighborhood and I am one of those people that get get paranoid thinking that they could possibly break into ours. In fact, we have a security system fixing to be installed now. That night, after the police came out and everything was over, the back of my neck began to hurt towards the right side. It feels like a pulled muscle. My neck hurts all the time anyways. It hurts really bad now. Can your fibro symptoms get worse because of worrying or being in a stressful situation like that?It still hurts today, but the pain is not easing off at all.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
so it just adds misery when something is worrying me.
Hang in there.
Gentle hugs and healing prayers.
Try a warm/hot bath or shower and give it some TLC today. Motrin ought to help too.
Don't sweat the petty stuff...{and don't pet the sweaty stuff}...Ok, she never really ever said that...lol...and it does not apply here anyways...cause if someone can break in next door, they can get bold and break into an occupied place so i would be MAJOR stressed as well....so I am glad ya stuck ur neck out and called the POLICE
I have been seeing a psychologist for about 6 weeks and plan to continue. My goals with her are to be more assertive, ( to not let people take advantage of me and to be comfortable standing up for myself.) to work on depression and stress management. My doc is helping me so much. This is one of the best things I've ever done for myself and I have been recommending it all across the board.
Just one more suggestion and I'll shut up. When I have spasms like you have mentioned, I find that deepbreathing with relaxation really helps. The really pulled muscles can be worked out with massage or just time with heat.
I hope I answered your question and wasn't too preachy. I didn't mean to be. I have just gotten such great advice here that I wanted to pass on what I've learned.
I do hope the police find the kids.
Lots of hugs!
I hope you are feeling better soon.
