My new doctor says "I don't want you to take narcotics." and that's the end of the conversation. In the mean time I'm paying $250 in copays a month for all the other stuff she's prescribing. I'm hurting and I don't know what to do. Do fibro patients take narcotics to handle pain? Pain doctor only offered injections that didn't work. I had brain surgery in July for Chiari. That relieved many nuero symptoms but not pain. Doc says I have fibro but offers nothing more than all the stuff I've already done before the surgery. PS Chiari was blocking the flow of spinal fluid around the brain and spine. Resulting in symptoms much like fibro. Sorry I'm new at this and frustraited. CAN YOU TELL
