Good morning! I slept 3 hours. Wow. Woot. ARGH.
See, to help me with myt ummy issues, Hubby decided my old family recipe (long forgotten and hopefully effective b/c it tastes ... eh)... wasn't enough.
He went to the "health food" store and bought a product that's "all-natural".
Three of the four ingredients?
1. Elemental mercury (disguised as "mercurius")
2. Mayapple (this plant is almost entirely poisonous)
3. Arsenicum albinum, which is what's left when you "derive" from arsenic in a water-based solution. I say "derive" b/c while it is allegedly "little to no arsenic", how much effing arsenic do you need?!
So we were in a rotten mood at bedtime, after I explained I was grateful for the thought ubt he MIGHT want to read the ingredients next time (or call me and read them to me), and he declared I'm overreacting.
Oh so sorry I don't want ot introduce *mayapple* or mercury! Ignorning the arsenic, of course. Ai-yi-yi...
Mind you, it was recommended by a store clerk who won't eat fish lest he get mercury into him. *headdesk*
Anyway, the home remedy is... yeah, I know, weird... radish broth with fresh-ground nutmeg sprinkled on top. My mom reminded me of it. We usually used blackberry root tea. But that was a fallback. So... That, and papaya (for its enzymes). In tiny portions. Carefully. So far so good... I hope!
Congrats to USA women's soccer, for securing the World Cup over Netherlands 2-0! Woot!
Today in 1608, Samuel de Champlain established the first French settlement in what we know as Quebec.
Yes, the same CHamplain as the lake in the US. He got around!
And in 1776, the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence was accompanied by the tolling of a bell. AKA, yes, the fabled Liberty Bell. The reading was held in Philadelphia.
OK, I need to crash or fall asleep on the laptop, so... Good morning and Good Monday to yoU!
Some people said they were interested in seeing this, it's the drawing of bfs friends dog
Good morning, and yes, I'm in a Fibro Zone. Hot hot hot humid humid humid. May as well just crank my Fibro to nine and leave it there. Oh wait... The weather did. *sigh*Well, I started out investigating good walking shoes and wound up on anacondas of the Amazon.I'll spare you that journey (you're welcome) and settle for this tale.***Dahlia squalls.Dixie fluffs up her tail and flees.I hobble at...
