In the US, today is Memorial Day, which is similar to the Remembrance Day in other nations. Informally, the start of summer, too.
And tomorrow is June 1. Who knew the year would .... well, actually seem to move along? After 2020 took about 20 years, LOL!
Well, it's official. I have to go be a hermit. Why? I encountered this: "tiramisu-flavored moonshine".
There is so much wrong with those three words being on a label together. The first is that if it's commercially sold, it ain't moonshine. The second is the fact that it's flavored. The third is "tiramisu". Why would you put coffe and chocolate and sugar flavoring into ... booze? Apparently, this is drunk mixed with cola. Yep. It's the end fo the world as my hillbilly family know it. Flavored moonshine? For real? Tiramisu? For real? *sigh* My DNA cringed!
We also have "apple pie moonshine" ----- you guessed it! Apple juice and cinnamon added to .... well, "alleged" moonshine. If you can buy it at a store, it's not true moonshine. Moonshine is always the home-brewed liquor based on maize corn, also usable to stretch out your gasoline supply in the US.
The commercial moonshine is basically a lot like tequila or vodka, for those interested, and is only 80% alcohol. My relatives brew(ed) theirs at about 95%. Of course, they're old-school double-distillers.
Peach cobbler and pina colada are two other moonshine flavors available. Why do I know? Our buddy is trying them all. Yeah. Lockdown with two kids finally got him.
He has yet to try "jalapeno pepper lime" ....
Personally, I'd sooner just lick a Carolina Reaper and be done with it. FYI: Carolina Reapers are hot peppers currently maxing out as the hottest-on-planet-pepper. DO NOT touch without double gloves. Do not eat if you treasure your life. One bite can make people violently ill (nausea, vomiting, fainting, sudden emptying of bowels, as well as contact chemical burns).
And on that note, nobody will remember anything, b/c hey! Moonshine! One sip, and your brain is wiped clean!
I really need to get some sleep, sorry.
HUGS to all. Have a lovely Monday :-)
Hello! I have a broken toe! Welcome to doing yard work where you have rock, slope, and no help. Good news, it's minor. Bad news, it still hurts like the dickens. (And why did Dickens get to be a symbol of pain, anyway? Jk)***Random odd facts for yoru day:Almost all leather goods come from cows slaughtered to be eaten, or slaughtered b/c they aged otu of being able to produce milk. Ergo, if you...
