Well, it's nearly October. Wasn't it April a minute ago? Huh.
Anyway, up at 4 after a nightmare. It's one so gross even my therapist blinks, so let's leave it at that. He also says it's a metaphor for me "drawing out my worries and confronting them". Yeah. Sure. And I'm Halle Berry.
(DS ate paragraph breaks again. Redone for that, so it'll lookweird no marter what.)
Time Hubby allowed to clean some leaves out of a gutter: 3 hours. I did it with a broom in 15 minutes. That counts me putting on and taking off shoes. This is why he gets so easily stressed. EVERYTHING takes FOREVER in his mind. Meanwhile, I've got fibro and everything cracks like popcorn when I move, but it takes me 15 minutes to knock crud away from a gutter. It was less painful than watching him wonder how to do it, whether to get a ladder, which gloves... Or, just get te broom on the extend-o-handle, crank it out, and twist-flick-flap! Done. No ladder, either. (Yeah, like I'm going up a ladder in this rain. Nope!) Thus my life.
What FUN thing will you do for yourself today? C'mon. Five minutes even? Shut the bathroom door and crank up a favorite song?
+Watch silly videos on Youtube? Use red lipstick? Go commando?
Will you lie down in the store and just tell anyone concerned, "I'm fine, just felt like taking a break"? (Oh, I want to try that one!)
How about trying a new food or flavor? I just convinced Hubby to try Ovaltine. Seriously, he never had it! He's like 50 years old! How do you live withotu that?! Geez...
Listen to Nature sounds, new ones. Maybe birds instead of waterfalls, or vice versa. Even if it turns out you really do hate it, hey, you've interrupted the brain train from its usual strain! (OMG, I did not just type that... I need more sleep.)
Watch cartoons instead of the news?
Tell your kids that asparagus is really green bunny ears. Actually, do NOT do that, b/c it freaked me out no end first time my cousin referred to them that way. he then referredto broccoli as bunny "fuzzy balls". We don't know why he had a phase where all green foods had to be body parts from a rabbit, but we're glad it ended. Ah, memories...
Watch an old episode of Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers?
Got any ideas to fun up the Monday?
Speak of fun (or not?)... gotta go dry off, feed, and warm up a few random critters. Possibly including Hubby. On four hours of sleep, I'm somewhat unpredictable...
Purrs and healing and health to us all...
Good morning! Did I sleep? Kinda. Am I in pain? ALways. Today it's the neck/shoulders. At the start of the Marathon of Baking/Cooking! Of course! Oh well. That's why we have heating pads, right? ANd now I'll have goodies with it, too! Fudge and homemade marshmallows and cupcakes and cookies, oh my!Everyone's invited over! The cats are meowing quite happily along at the moment. Dahlia managed to...
A friend of mine sent me this video and it made me laugh, so I thought I'd share. : )https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFptlmGCOVI
