My Rhuem has recommended Lyrica for my Fibro, I know it sounds silly but, I noticed one of the side effects is weight gain, and I DO NOT want to gain weight. Have any of you tried Lyrica and how was your experience. I also noticed other side effects, dizziness, tiredness, etc... so those are already a problem. I don't want to take something that will make things worse... any suggestions?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Go to www.askapatient.com and type in Lyrica and it will list people who have tried it and how it effected them. There may not be very many posts since this is a newer drug, but it's worth a try!

They took five vials of blood and apparently they are running tons of tests.
what kinds of side effects have you all had who have taken this?
My aunt took it for a whyle and she said that she got rashes on her arms and then broosing. She said that it looked like someone had grabed her very hard on both arms, patchy dark brooses all over.
I am also scared of the possible mental side effects!
I need to be able to take care of my baby!
I have to be able to function well enough to take care of my baby. What if I get dizzy and fall while holding him or drop him or meny of the other side effects that seam like they could endanger him? I am really scared to try this.
sorry if it seams like I am hijacking your post leslie. I hope we can both/all find some real answers. I don't want to be a guinea pig.
Hope that helps,
