Things I would like to mention, FIRST and for most keep an updated list of your meds, what they are, the doseage, how often you take them and why. If you no longer take something cross it off. You should keep a list in your wallet, actually many pharmacies have the free little cards that you can make out. Also included on that list should be drugs that you take only as needed, meds for bowels, break through pain, migraines. All over the counter drugs to such as tums, cough syrup, decongestant, fiber pills. In great big letter you need to write down your ALLERGIES and what happens when you take those drugs. This list also needs to contain all vitamins, minerals, elixirs, herbs any of that type of thing you are taking as well and why.
SECONDLY give a copy of this list to your closest person. Tape an extra copy to the inside of your medicine cab, or side of the fridge. If you cannot speak for yourself someone needs to be able to speak for you. THIRDLY this list should accompany you to all your doctor visits, clinic appts, testings of any kind, and trips to the pharmacy. When you visit the DR, they should be updating your med profile everytime. The staff will appreciate an up to date, clear record of your meds that they can copy and attach to your chart. So much easier on everyone. It also makes you look educated on your drugs. I know one lady who actually has a binder and saves the packaging inserts, that come with her drugs.
THIRDLY we all know about the pro's and cons of child proof caps, each person has to make their own decision about this but if you have kids about be safe. Where do you store your meds and who has access to them. I would not put them in the bathroom that gets all the people traffic.
There is a huge drug market out there, not any body who comes to visit should have access to your drugs. They should not be out on the table in a basket or round susan. Do not go spouting off the names of your drugs and what you are taking, you just don't know who is listening. Recently an old man who had asked to pick up his pain meds at the pharmacy counter was over heard by a young man and some of his buddies, they followed the old guy home and robbed him, another guy was teling his co workers about his muscle relaxers and pain meds he was taking for his back, one of his work buddies was coming over and substituting pills in his buddies Vicodin bottle. You have to be aware who is hearing what.Just some food for thought.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am so not happy with our walmart pharmacy, but i have to call my wonderful(NOT) insurance company and get an ok to switch pharmacies.
that was completely unprofessional of her, and it doesnt do any good to report them, ive tried before. This particular walmart pharmacy has more pharmacists working each week than i can count on both hands. I see a newbie behind the windows everytime i have to go there, and ive never seen them before. Walmart doesnt own the pharmacy so it doesnt do any good to contact walmart.
Very important post. thank u
