Here's what I've tried and didn't work: Amatryptaline, Neurontin, Paxil, Prozac, physiotherapy, Tylenol (extra and arthritis). I can't take anything like Neurontin (5 months) or Paxil (on it for 1 year) as it turns me into a zombie.
Here's what sort of works: chiropractor, will book an appt for the Naturopath doctor and do the biofeedback test.
Here's what works: Melatonin (for sleeping) and massage. Ativan (although I only take this once a year or more).
I've got an appt with the doctor on Tuesday and would like to get on some kind of pain meds. I have a high pain tolerance and a low drug tolerance.
Other things I'm going to talk about are massage therapy, acupuncture, trigger pt injections (lidocaine?), extensive thyroid test, aqua therapy? (maybe), book a pap and mam, discuss chronic hives, myofascial pain and peri-menopause! whew! I'm only 41 but my periods have been sporatic the last year (after being regular for almost 28 years). That's the problem with FM is that it could mask a boat load of other diseases and problems.
What would you recommend I try first? (I don't expect that the first thing will be the miracle one for me!) I do a lot of driving to my jobs and can't afford to be dizzy or drowsy OR gain any weight! LOL

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
