Has anyone on medicare or medicaid or both found a way to get them to pay for massage therapy? My doctor will prescribe it but I can not afford to pay for it. I have chronic myofascial pain with the fibro and need a special massage to break up the knots in the myofascial tissue. They are so bad right now I can not get them broken up and I am and have been in severe pain for several weeks now. My pain clinic appt is not for 4 more weeks. The ER will only give me more narcotics which already are not working this time. I have tried heat, hot soaks, self massage, tennis ball, muscle relaxers, ice, herbal remedies, nothing is working. I know that a massage especially for CMP will work if only I could get it paid for by medicare/medicaid. Any suggestions or ideas would be very appreciated.
