I have found since my fibro has been so bad that I am very hesitant and nervous to make most future plans, such as future dinner or lunch plans with friends, buying expensive play tickets,... Sometimes I just bite the bullet and do it and hope and pray that I won't be in a flare or feel too bad to go. I also can't tell you how many times I've dragged myself places. I'm much better now at taking care of myself first, thank goodness.
Do you feel nervous and even put off making plans?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have just learned to take them in stride and try to deal with them one at a time.
When my embalance issues are raging, I depend on my cane and walker; trying to limit my activities that include going places where the walker or cane could cause me problems.
Visual or embalance issues can be hazardous when you have to navigate tight spots and even steps.
I know this posting may not be suited for everyone, but I want to get across that most of the time it is up to us to adapt to the situation and if needed, we have just realize that at times, we cannot do what we want to do or what is expected of us.
We have to take care of ourselves and not put ourselves in a situation that could be bad for us.
Take care
Talk about long range plans!
I plan my life as if I were "normal".. If something comes up and I cant do what I planned ( and that hardly ever happens because I usually just push myself) well I guess that can happen to anyone right?
I remember when my Aunt Helen was 90..she had seen a really expensive reclining chair and was trying to decide if she should buy it..her thinking was would she live long enough to enjoy it..She was NOt one to waste money.. well she asked her Doctor..thinking he would tell her
how long she might live..HE said "..do you want the chair?"..and she yes.. HE said HELEN buy the chair" She lived to 97..
I think we will should all buy the chair and dont worry what the future may bring..
