Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share my favorite activity when I'm having painful flares: the Knifty Knitter. It is available at Michael's and other craft stores, and it looks like this:
http://www.provocraft.com/products/catalog.php?cl=knifty%20knitter&scl=looms
I like the long loom, which is great for scarves.
I can crochet, but when I am fatigued or in pain I cannot hold up the needle for very long, and if I have brainfog I cannot count my stitches. The Knifty Knitter solves both problems: if rests on your lap and you don't have to count (you just get to the last peg and turn around). Because it spaces your stitches for you, the end result looks really nice even if you have never knitted before! It takes no skill to learn, and handmade scarves and beanies make great gifts.
Happy Knitting!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
This is cool because (at least from what I can tell) it's easier on our ouchy hands!
Yay for having a nifty hobby! (I'm a beader, reader, writer myself!) We've gotta have these things to keep us busy and occupied.
