For many years now I have experienced super itchy skin on my legs and arms after a shower. It usually lasts about 20 minutes and in that time I feel like I'm going to rub all my skin off. It happens off and on, any time of the year. I have tried different soaps, shampoos. I've tried washing with washcloths, puffs, my hands. I've tried conditioner and baby oil at the end of my shower and then pat dry.
I researched on the internet and found this condition is not uncommon but there was no good explanation for it, nor was there a solution.
Does anyone here experience this?
Do you think it's fibro?
If you have this, what do you do?
I also get incredibly hot after a normal to cool temp shower. This has just been the case for a few years. Any ideas?
Thanks everyone!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Does the neosporin stay greasy?
I'll have to try it.
I will say, it doesn't happen as much as it used to. It used to happen every shower, but since I have had to cut down on the amount of showers I take, it doesn't happen everytime now. Wonder what that means?
Have you tried a cortisone cream?
I hope this works for you too!

My skin is so sensitive. I buy baby wash and have too buy most of the time!! Shampoos that hardly have much chemicals in them our my head eitches so bad too. I cannot use lotions so I make my own.. I buy Almond oil from the health food store and add 5 or 6 drops of Lavender oil to it.. Only because I love the Lavender smell.. But you can add any or none at all.
thank you for posting this-ive been thinking its just me for years. take care, kay
