Ok so this is just me venting. But dang I hurt and I'm bitchy and i want my life back. I look in the mirror and wonder Who the hell is that women looking back at me. OMG its me. Well thats just great,I have become old looking and even found some gray hair..yes thats right gray hair..WTF.
I hurt I have no energy and I have lost my sense of humor. So i say "Ok Sonya You are a trooper, just get out there and change it." Ok so that thought last about 10 seconds, then i walk away from mirror,my legs hurt,my knees hurt, everything hurt,so I guess I'll do it tomorrow......Haha. Fibro aint it great? It has robbed me of what life I have left... want to go out and do all the things I used to. I used to work up to 70 hrs a week, I did things for people,
my house was always spic and span,I did ironing for people.Had a garden. Cooked for people I love to have people over for dinner,as I loveto cook, now just cooking for Hannah and Neel is about all I can do. I WANT MY LIFE BACK.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Now i dont care what my house looks like, i use what energy i do have to carry my ass to work and back home. I dont like to cook, never have, that has always been my one downfall. But even now i dont care what my house looks like even if someone came over.
We used to always do things, we were always with friends doing something, not now. I would rather lay in my bed or sit my ass in this comfy computer chair. Heck, if i color, read a book or play a card game with the kids thats a great day.
I too hate it, i do, but how can we do all these things we used to when we are hurting so badly. I dont have any answers, but i feel just like u do.
I forgot to ask u, as often as we talk, lol of which i love by the way,, is the lyrica working?
I am on the hunt for a rheumo or doc that treats fibro, so u will be the first to know.
I am so glad your here Sonya, we sure are a pathetic pair arent we.
As soon as spring hits lets plan something, with or without the guys and or kids, i will leave it up to you. At least then we will have something to look forward to.
Hope u have a good day today, and enjoy that massage.
*hugs*
I do have hope however. I finally did find a pain doc that believes me. She put me on a med that actually wiped out my pain, and I'm seeing the old me again. You just have to have faith that one day, will be your day. Please don't ever give up hope. Please!
As soon as your pain is minimal and your sleep is caught up-do one of these things - Start with the Garden, maybe. HUGS
Hopefully you can find a new doctor that will treat you with dignity and respect.
I have cried numerous times after leaving ignorant doctor's offices. Now though, I have a renewed sense of faith in her...she may not know everything but she's at least willing to help.
