It's morning? *pries open eyes* Ugh. Yep, that kind of night! How about you?
Well, after I thought my day was peaceful? My shoulder blew out. Why? dixie and Dahlia decided to respectively poop on the rug and vomit on the curtain of the "cat nook". One b/c she's fussy and the other b/c she decided to eat a bug and it didn't stay down. (Boy, did it not.)
Turns out, I cant blame them for choosing to skip the litterbox nook. Why? Hubby's idea of 'clean' in there ----- and the cat nook is his to do ------ was horrifying to me. I was utterly disgusted by the lack of real clean. So, a vac mop dust scrub replae repair launder later....
What's your plan for the day? I hvae none. I have a vauge idea of crawling back to bed at some point.
In 1621, perhaps appropriatelyg iven it's April Fool's Day .... the Plymouth immigrants made the first of many treaties to be broken with the indigenous American people. I can just see 'em saying, "Heh! April fools!"
In 1748, the ruins of Pompeii, Italy were discovered, after spending about 1700 years under compacted volcanic ash and such. Not a joke, alas, and eventually we also found Herculaneum, and the learned a lot about 1. Roman life in the first century AD and 2. Vesuvius the volcano. (Mainly, don't be near the volcano.)
Weirdly in 1793, a volcano in Japan erupted on this same date, killing reportedly around 15,000 people. (Or 1792, as you prefer.) The problem wasn't the ash and lahars, shockingly enough, but the collapse of the volcanic dome into the adjoining bay (interesting geology nerd stuff) created a megatsunami in the immediate area. The bay in question is known already for extreme tides and is fairly shallow, so .... cowabunga?
In another, "Are you joking?" kinda moment in history, today in 1881 marks anti-Jewish riots in .... Jerusalem. yeah, that takes a second to really grasp, doesn't it?
May today be fool-proof and fool-free for all! :-)

I've had it. Honestly. my Brain gives up by 10 AM. C'mon, brain! Get outta neutral!***The first study linking carbon dioxide to warming was done in the 1930s. the hypothesis was first proposed in 1896.OK, let's expalin this in high school terms: the carbon cycle. If you overwhelm it, life gets very difficult. Four of the five largest extinctions known to paleontologists are linked to climate...
