EVERYTHING JUST SEEMS TO NOT BE
GOING WELL WITH ME LATELY
I Dont Feel Like Im 16, I Have To Miss Out On So Much.
Im Just Really Tired Of Not Feeling Well And Having To Explain Myself To People That Dont Even Know About Fibromyalgia
When All This First Stared It Was Easier To Cope With But Now That Its Been Like 5 Years And Nothing Seems To Be Helping With My Pain Or Anything
I Just Feel Really Depressed And If Anyone Knows Someone That Is My Age That I Can Talk To Let Me Know It Would Be Nice To Talk To A Teen That Is Also Struggling With This
Or If You Have Any Suggestions
Thanks =]
Hopefully DS Is Somewhere I Can Let Out What Im Feeling
Without Having To Worry About Someone Judging Me

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
It is amazing how much "time" fibromyalgia takes from me. Sometimes, I try to sleep away my pain-- that is, IF I can go to sleep. Then at other times, I fight sleep even when I'm truly sleepy-don't know what that's all about.
You sound like a nice young lady with a good head on her shoulders, especially dealing with fibro for this long. That must really be tough for you.
Welcome to DS, and I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do. Many, many nice people are on here.

Advice...hmmm. It is hard, I was 29 when diagnosed and found it hard enough. I'm sure there are other FM teens here somewhere. Good luck!
We certainly will not judge you but we may try and give some helpful, heartfelt advice once in a while. :) It won't be to nag but because we all know how painful this is, what meds have worked for us etc.
Are you currently taking any meds?
Have you had a full physical to rule out other possibilities?
Suggestion: maybe join a low-impact aqua aerobics.
Suggestion: talk to your family about this. Give them as much info all at once so you don't have to keep repeating yourself. Surround yourself with positive people that believe you and understand.
We do have teens: thesarcasticwonder, itsybitsy,fsara245, antari, not sure of that last spelling, but he's a sweet young guy, I'm sure you can find him. There may be others as well. If you need a grandma, I'm here. Welcome to our group, we will all do whatever we can to help. Hugs
