I also gotta agree with Bour, i had the facet injections,(dont remember the exact name) 6 times in my neck, from top to bottom, i had them done surgically in an OR room. None worked. I truly believe they made my neck pain worse.
You need to find a rheumo or neuro or even pain management doc that will help u.
If your pain doc wants to do these facet injections he should obviously know that u r in pain.
Did u leave a message?
Can u go to the ER for some pain relief?
I know u probably dont want to hear this but find a different rheumo that is familiar with fibro.
Weve all been there.
Hang in there.
Have u ever asked why they give u 15 vicodin for 30 days?
My pain management doctor won't do injections on me because I have pain in too many areas... He does prescribe opiods though, and realizes that a person builds up a tolerance to them so their dose needs to be adjusted occasionally. Although I have all the pain pills I want, I don't think they are helping me much... If the pain gets really bad for me, I go to bed and do some relaxation exercises - if I can get to sleep it is at least a temporary help...
