I really think it's working. My pain has gone down since I took the first one about 2 hours ago, and I feel better!! Isn't that awesome! Let's just hope that it makes it the 12 hours that it's supposed to. But I'm just happy it's working at all!!!!
I hope they work for you.
I think the drug you mean is OPANA.. or the extended release form which is newer in 2006...Here is the website..

Im not sure if this is a common thing or not, maybe i should post this as a seperate topic but this is what happens to me.
My rheumo has tried me on so many different meds, narcotics included, oxycontin did nothing, i mean nothing for me, that was one of theee worst months i ever went thru with fibro.
I started on the fent patch, wasnt effective for the entire 3 days i was to wear the patch and it wouldnt stay on the entire 3 days.
So he switched me to Ms Contin 12 hour release. It worked great then gradually i started with the flares that were lasting for weeks. I would start vicodin or darvocet for flares, both of those quit working, so he started me on percocet, now the perc doesnt really help my flares of if im hurting really really bad i feel like im not taking anything.
So at my last rheumo apt he upped my ms contin dose every 12 hours. I have gradually felt the flare coming on for over 3 weeks now, 1 1/2 percocet isnt touching my pain.
Sorry this got long, my point is the problem i have is that eventually whatever med im taking that is working really good wears off, that is the only way i can describe it.
I hope this med works for a long time for you.
Im so happy that your pain level is down that low.
